Standards for Safety, Health and Environment (SHE)

As long ago as 1997, we introduced our company-wide standards regarding safety, health and environment (SHE). They translate our Code of Corporate Sustainability into detailed requirements regarding environmental protection and occupational health and safety. As such they form an integral element of our commitment to sustainable business practices. They were comprehensively revised in 2005 and cover the following aspects:

• Environmental protection
• Occupational health and safety
• Product and raw material safety
• Safety of production processes
• Storage safety and logistics
• Dealing with “third parties” (suppliers, toll and contract manufacturers, and other business partners)
• Environmental impacts
• Emergency management

Then, as now, we ensure the implementation of our SHE Standards through integrated management systems and worldwide SHE audits.
